Womens Program FAQ’s
Can you describe your evaluation process?
Prior to your initial evaluation, we will order an extensive set of blood tests, which will be available for review during your initial evaluation.
Your initial evaluation will last 2-3 hours and during that time you will see one of our medical providers who is specially trained in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement and Age-Management Medicine and you will also see one of our naturopathic doctors who will provide nutritional counseling.
Our physicians will review your health goals, lifestyle, medical history, perform a physical exam, and review your blood test results. At the conclusion of your evaluation, our doctors will establish a personalized treatment plan for you centered upon sound nutrition, exercise, nutraceutical supplementation, when indicated, and bioidentical hormone replacement, if appropriate. All of our recommendations and treatments will be focused on your specific health goals to optimize the way you feel and reduce your risk for disease.
What type of blood tests are necessary?
We perform a thorough set of blood tests prior to your initial evaluation and then every 4-6 months thereafter to monitor your treatment. The initial lab testing that is done consists of more than 80 blood tests which includes hormones, lipid (cholesterol) profile, sugar levels, organ function, blood count, markers of inflammation, and specific vitamin levels.
The blood tests performed subsequent to your initial evaluation will be focused on the essential lab tests necessary to monitor your response to treatment.
What type of hormones do you prescribe?
We prescribe bioidentical hormones in the form of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, T4 and T3 thyroid and occasionally, human growth hormone (HGH), if necessary. A custom treatment plan is designed for each patient based on their specific blood work results, medical history, and health goals.
How do you determine which Nutraceuticals I should receive?
We recommend pharmaceutical grade vitamins and supplements based solely on the results on your evaluation, blood test results, and health goals.
Do you accept medical insurance?
Our focus is to optimize the way you feel and reduce your risk for disease. Traditionally, medicare and medical insurance companies provide coverage for the management of acute illness and the ongoing treatment for disease that is already established. Because we start where traditional medicine stops, what we do is considered an elective and non-covered service by medicare and medical insurance.
What happens after the initial evaluation?
We ship all prescriptions, supplements, and supplies to you and monitor blood work every 4-6 months. We are always available to answer questions and monitor your progress, either through a scheduled office visit, or by phone consultation.
How much does it cost?
We offer concierge programs. Our programs include all lab testing, concierge visits, exams, and all hormones.
*Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is sold separately
Program costs can vary. We can give you specific costs during free phone consultation.
